Useful for the Classroom
I showed this episode to my students who were created original ad campaigns for a unit on argumentation and the use of pathos, ethos, and logos to persuade. They had to "pitch" their campaigns to the class.
Why Graphic Designers need to watch "The Pitch"
Some of the best episodes of "Mad Men" have segments when Don Draper (brilliantly played by Jon Hamm) or another character explains why ads work or pontificates how the right visual coupled with well written copy makes an ad that inspires emotion which leads to follow through with completed sales.
As a Graphic Designer and a provocateur in commercial arts I'm always left at the end of each episode wanting more of this type of office talk; tell me more about how to make better ads! Give me more insight into what makes or breaks an ad campaign. How can someone be a more effective employee?

The question remains, though; is this enough to satisfy my appetite for ad agency "insider" talk?
The easy answer is, yes. It's the sorbet after a good episode of...
Perfect for my class!
I am a high school business/computer teacher. All my classes have spent time talking about marketing and advertising. This show is so great to show them what it's like to be in the industry. They find it interesting and so do I! There doesn't seem to be any other show like it.
